What tools to have
From BotConnect Wiki
- Lexan scissors to cut out the body panels
- Lexan (polycarbonate) paint for the inside of the body - Pactra or any brand...
- Sharpie Permanent Black marker, regular of fine tip. This will be used to mark parts and assemblies, since the labels provided are useless during construction.
- CA (Super Glue) like "Loctite Super Glue Control" in the gray and orange bottle
- One 2mm drill bit
- One 6mm drill bit, a "brad point" wood bit works real well because the brad point hits the indent and does not walk. Then rock the drill a little from side to side for the outside edges to cut through.
- One drill to rotate the bits, the weaker the better, as we are drilling thin lexan.
- Japanese standard phillips screwdrivers (JIS standard) sizes No. 0, No. 1, and No. 2

Ikas Inc. vendor
- DO NOT, we repeat, DO NOT use any sort of powered screwdriver at all for anything at all in any way ever. Bottom line, the heads are so fragile on the 2mm screws that the torque of the startup of the driver WILL strip them going IN OR going out. It just ain't worth it.
- X-acto knife with #11 blade (the regular triangular one)
- Hemostats, useful for positioning the servo cables in the body cavity so you can put the back on and other tasks. Staight or curved is fine, the thinner the better.
- Digital Camera with video so you can catch his/her first steps.
- Ink pen to mark up your printed docs as you complete the steps.
- Five pounds of strong coffee, or Mountain Dew or Jolt cola by the case. Pizza and cookies. Ibuprofin or acetominephan.
